Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got the idea or concept for your business.
We are a women-owned, family operated business and a certified B Corp. All our products are made in the USA with 100% natural ingredients. We started small, making products for friends, family, and the local farmers market. We now aim to make organic more available and more affordable, while educating the world on sustainable business and healthcare practices. My sister is an herbalist, organic farmer and midwife. I was premed and have a MS in Health Psychology, so we have both always been passionate about how to live healthier lives and share that with the world.
As a business owner, how would you define success?
Success are re-orders, amazing testimonials, customers excited to refer our products, customers excited to try new products and most of all leaving the world a better place then we found it with a mission behind our products.
How do you find inspiration for new ideas within your company?
Our customers are the best inspiration. They guide us all the time with product development and how we can help them and others around the globe.
What’s your productivity secret?
Yoga and sleep!
What makes your company unique?
We use the actual plants. No synthetics or concentrates made on the market.
What were the biggest roadblocks in building your business? How did you overcome those challenges?
We all came from medical backgrounds, so there was a huge learning curve in terms of retail. We did our best to seek counsel from friends in the industry to help us guide us.
If you could give three tips to someone just starting out, what would they be?
Be sure to financially plan ahead while keeping your day job out of the gate; seek guidance from leaders in the marketplace; get your rest!
Is there anything else you’d like to add?
Someone was kind enough to remind me, have fun! It’s stressful and a ton of work, but enjoy your work and try to make a difference not only in your own life but others.
